Since I haven't really submitted anything lately, I thought it was about time I did. It's not really completed, but I like the way it looks right now 
, a practice for drawing realistically. Based on an original character in a short story by me. Drawn and coloured in Open Canvas v1.1. I really hate choosing titles, but i named this "The only sound" because at this part of the story she (the priestess of light) is laying next to her love as he sleeps, listening. (She is loosely based on a good friend of mine)
sketch time ~45 minutes~
coloring time ~2h30min~

I'm assuming that you did this without a reference. If so, this is excellent. Her face is nicely proportioned and shaded and her skin looks so soft. I understand why you used the gentle glow technique here. It works well for the mood you're setting.
